5 Ideas for Romantic Mom & Dad by stacia d. kelly I t's February and love is in the air (or the marketing in the stores). Whether you celebrate Valentine's Day or not, this time of year is always a great time to remind yourself and your spouse about the love in your relationship. When you've been together for a while, it can be a challenge to come up with new, fun, exciting and romantic things to do as a couple. It's time to add a little spice, a kick or even a kick-start for those romantic feelings. 1. Schedule a Couples Massage. Steal away for an hour or so and schedule time at Massage Envy Fredericksburg or Winning Image Salon and Day Spa for a couples massage. It's a wonderful way to de-stress together.  2. Dinner Under the Stars. Pack for an evening picnic or even better, pick up dinner from Bistro Bethem and some fancy drinks from Capital Ale House and spend some quality time together. Make sure you bring blankets and candles or lanterns and have a romantic dinner for two under the stars. If you can't get away, wait till the young ones are in bed and make a picnic on the living room floor. 14 Fredericksburg Parent and Family • February 2013 3. Repeat a First Date. Maybe your dating years and courtship are long behind you? Why not repeat a date you went on when you first met? Do something that brings back the memories of the heart flutters and intense interest. Repeat the time of your first kiss. 4. Purposely Flirt. Remember the days when you used to flirt with each other? Go out of your way to do so again. Your skills might be rusty, but they're still there. Leave a love note, or send a flirtatious text or a playful email. Maybe something along the lines of "I felt a disturbance in the force...where you thinking about me?"
