The Greater Fredericksburg area is teeming with family- friendly swimming. Below are six great places to swim, sun bathe and have an all-around good family day. EMBREY MILL POOL 25 Apricot Street, North Stafford, VA 22554 Let's start with the newest and biggest. Embrey Mill, a master- planned community in North Stafford, features a zero-entry (also known as beach entry) swimming pool with five lap lanes, a slide and separate kids area. The pool is a great place to meet up for a splash, and its nearby playground, great lawn, and terrace with pool panorama are also perfect for meeting with family and friends. In addition to the main café overlooking the pool (a great place for a good meal, drink or glass of wine at the end of the day), Before 'n' After Cafe will run a snack bar by the pool, putting your favorite poolside beverage or snack within easy reach. The Before 'n' After Cafe is open to the public. Also, every other Saturday until the end of June, enjoy Embrey Mill's Spring Concert Series (called "Music Box") on the expansive terrace or any of these nearby lounging areas (or from the pool, of course).
