Fall is fleeting; once the swelter-
ing summer heat subsides, the
race is on to make the most of
those crisp, comfortable days
that lead to the threshold of
winter. There's an easy way to
guarantee this season won't
pass you by without plenty
of opportunity to taste, see,
hear and experience all it has
to offer—make plans today to
spend a few fall weekend days
in Downtown Fredericksburg.
The centerpiece of Downtown's Fall Season is Scarecrow Fest. This annual tradition
brings the streets to life with imaginative and witty scarecrows created by Downtown
businesses. Scarecrows will be on display from Wednesday, Oct. 4, through Thursday,
Oct. 31.
Grab a map at the Visitor Center at 706 Caroline St. and make a day of finding the
scarecrows. Then vote for your favorites! Ballots are available at participating Downtown
businesses and at fxbgscarecrows.com.
Scarecrow Fest kicks off a series of free fall events your family won't want to miss.
Mark your calendars!
