There's an easy way to guarantee this season won't pass you by without plenty of opportunity to taste, see, hear and experience all it has to offer—make plans today to spend a few fall weekend days in Downtown Fredericksburg. The centerpiece of Downtown's Fall Season is Scarecrow Fest. This annual tradition brings the streets to life with imaginative and witty scarecrows created by Downtown businesses. Scarecrows will be on display from Wednesday, Oct. 4, through Thursday, Oct. 31. Grab a map at the Visitor Center at 706 Caroline St. and make a day of finding the scarecrows. Then vote for your favorites! Ballots are available at participating Downtown businesses and at fxbgscarecrows.com. Scarecrow Fest kicks off a series of free fall events your family won't want to miss. Mark your calendars! THE SCARECROWS ARE BACK! for FREDERICKSBURG Fall Downtown is Your Destination for an Awesome Autumn Downtown Fredericksburg Main Street invites you to savor the season Scarecrow Fest Friday, Oct. 6 – 31 • 5-9 p.m. The monthly First Friday Sip 'n' Stroll gal- lery walk will have an added twist this month, as Downtown Fredericksburg Main Street holds its inaugural Scarecrow Festival. Find family-friendly games, activi- ties and contests in both Market Square and the parking lot next to the Visitor Center.
