(RAAI), is a community-based developmental day program that pro- motes dignity, independence, individu- alization, inclusion and productivity of people with intellectual disability. RAAI began its horticulture training program in the vacant greenhouses at Chatham Manor, through a part- nership with the National Parks Service. Today, The activities center has its own greenhouse and discov- ery center on-site where horticulture therapy is provided to participants. Each spring, the community supports RAAIs annual fundraising efforts by attending its Mayfest celebration and by purchasing plants.
