Meet Dr. Derek Evans, O.D.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Derek Evans who recently joined
our team of seven professional optometrists. Dr. Evans has a special interest in pediatric eyecare and specialty contact lens fitting.
"Good vision is critical to learning. Sometimes a teacher suspects
a learning problem when it is actually a vision problem. Some kids
struggle in school just because they can't see," Dr. Evans said.
A graduate of Virginia Tech, he earned his Doctor of Optometry
degree from Southern California College of Optometry. His clinical
training included rotations at three medical centers in Oklahoma,
Utah and Maryland. Dr. Evans enjoys golf, snowboarding, surfing
and fishing. He lives in Spotsylvania with his family.
