www.FredericksburgParent.NET 7 Right now, there are three possible scenarios for redis- tricting Stafford County's high schools, but School Board members said Tuesday night that they wouldn't be sur- prised if there are eventually seven or even more. Redrawing the boundaries for all of Stafford's high schools is necessary because the division is opening a sixth high school in the southwest part of the county in August of 2026. The attendance zone for the new high school, to be located off Truslow Road in the Hartwood dis- trict, will pull from Mountain View and Stafford high schools and incor- porate an island that attends Colonial Forge high school. In addition to filling the new school, the county needs to ease overcrowding at the other five high schools. Without redistricting, all of these schools will be operating at between 98% and 108% of capacity by 2026. The School Board will discuss current and newly proposed scenarios at its next meeting on September 10. There will be a public hearing on redistricting options on November 12, and the board will vote on new attendance zones on December 10.
