www.FredericksburgParent.NET 29 A PATIENT-FRIENDLY EXPERIENCE The new Outpatient Center at Embrey Mill will provide another convenient entry point into the Mary Washington Healthcare fam- ily of services. Navigating between different doctors and specialties within the system is made easier through MyChart, a free service offered by all MWHC facilities and providers. MyChart gives patients personalized and secure online access to medical records, and makes it easy to find and track records from various providers within the system. It also keeps patients from having to worry about whether different providers all have the records they need, as all Mary Washington providers can access this streamlined elec- tronic medical record. The record also provides an easy way for patients to check and ensure they are staying on top of regular checkups, vaccinations and blood tests—all of the important preventative care that lies at the heart of keeping a com- munity healthy. The goal with new facilities like the new Embrey Mill community health hub is to put that important care within easy reach of as many area residents as possible. "We really are here to provide the healthcare the community needs," Ms. Yablonski said. "We are constantly looking for ways to make it easier for Fredericksburg-area residents to be able access these important services in a way that fits into their daily lives." To learn more, visit mwhc.com. 29 This spring, Mary Washington will open its new Outpatient Center at Embrey Mill to deliver more healthcare services closer to the growing area surrounding the Embrey Mill neighborhood. The new center will offer access to a variety of healthcare services such as urgent care, primary care, OB/GYN care, physical therapy, imaging and lab services. The Embrey Mill outpatient center is slated to open in April, and will be located at 955 Wonder Road, Stafford, VA, 22554. Ms. Yablonski says the new facility is emblematic of how Mary Washington Healthcare con- sistently invests in improving the community's medical infrastructure. Earlier this year, Mary Washington opened the new Emergency Department at Harrison Crossing to better serve the fast-growing areas west of Fredericksburg along the State Route 3 corridor. Mary Washington also operates Urgent Care Centers in south Stafford, Fredericksburg and King George County. The locally owned healthcare system also recently started a Graduate Medical Education program, giving new physicians the opportunity to complete their residency training in Fredericksburg, in an attempt to bring more primary-care physicians to this growing region. The Embrey Mill outpatient center ... will be located at 955 Wonder Rd, Stafford, VA, 22554. NEW SERVICES COMING TO EMBREY MILL
