16 Fredericksburg Parent and Family • October 2023 WRITTEN BY EMILY FREEHLING Ask the Expert a sk t h e e x p e rt Young children can enjoy their time in the YMCA's Kidz Corner while parents get their workout in. This childcare option is a lot more than babysitting— the YMCA follows lesson plans for various age groups, and the Y offers a Kidz Gym until noon on weekdays to keep older children active. Families can access up to three hours of care per day for on-site workouts. The Y also offers a preschool program for children ages 3-4 who are potty trained. Our preschool is licensed and participates in the Virginia Quality Birth to Five (VQB5) system, a state-run program that fosters the continuous improvement of educational programs that prepare children for kindergarten. What makes a fitness routine stick? When exercising means visiting a place where there's something for every member of your family to do and enjoy, getting those reps gets a lot more attractive. The Ron Rosner Family YMCA has become a one-stop fitness home for families—we have something for every age group. FAMILY FAMILY for the Entire Ron Rosner Family YMCA Has Something For Everyone A Wellness Home This isn't just fi tness for mom and dad— it's a wellness home for the entire family.
