www.FredericksburgParent.NET 27 THEY'RE GIGGLING THEIR WAY TO HIGHER TEST SCORES It all started when Ramona asked William to pass the ketchup. Instead, William pretended to squirt the ketchup on Ramona. Which elicited a tiny giggle out of Ramona... which quickly grew into a belly laugh. Soon William was belly laughing, too. And since their parents were both looking on, well, you get the picture. It's just a typical day of fun at the Children's Museum. But here, the fun helps kids in our community get ahead. Research shows that play improves socialization and teaches fundamental learning concepts that directly impact their success in school. The more kids play in environments like ours, the more likely they are to succeed in academics—and life. That's why we provide access to everyone in our community, regardless of ability to pay. Our members and donors understand that every child deserves a level "playing" fi eld. And ours is always open.
