2 Fredericksburg Parent and Family • February 2017 Colder weather means a few things: sweaters, snow, and the sniffles. The common cold is a viral infection of the nose and throat. Symptoms include running or stuffy nose, cough, congestion, and low grade fever. Unfortunately, there's no cure for a cold, but you should see a doctor when a fever lasts multiple days or you experience shortness of breath, severe sore throat, or sinus pain. If you catch a cold, be sure to stay hydrated and get plenty of rest. Practice good health habits like covering your cough and washing your hands often. Find expert care at Pratices.mwhc.com.
