nce again the summer has flown by and it's Back-to-School time. That means scheduling a
comprehensive eye exam for your children who are entering first grade, then every two years if
no vision correction is required. Here are some helpful tips for your child's eye doctor visit:

Schedule an appointment when your child is not
likely to be sleepy or hungry.

Make a list of your questions and bring them
with you.
■
Let your child watch a family member get an eye
exam. Have the doctor explain what is being
done, step by step, and encourage the child to
ask questions.

Relax. Children look to adults for cues. A trip to
