For Teens, Drinks Can Cause
More Health Problems
i
f you are trying to get your teenager to adopt healthier eating hab-
its, a great place to start is beverages. Teens consume more sugary
beverages than any other age group, resulting in almost
300 extra calories for adolescent males! Try phasing out sports
drinks, juices, sodas and energy drinks (which can contain dangerous
amounts of caffeine and other substances) and substituting with water
or lowfat milk. Conquering this habit successfully may lead to other
healthy changes in your teen.
