They're thinking about muddy footprints, spilled drinks, energe c pets, growing children, and the everyday moments that make up a home. Finding flooring that balances beauty, durability, and budget can feel over- whelming, but for Nathan and Karie Owens, the owners of NK Floors, helping families navigate those choices is at the heart of what they do. "We wanted to make an atmosphere where people felt safe and where they could depend on the core values of integrity, quality, respect, effec ve communica on, superior work ethic, and flexibility. It goes beyond quality product or quality outcome – it's the whole process in which we engage with our customers and with our team," said Karie. The Owens bring decades of experience to their work. As a boy, Nathan helped his father with flooring installa on, and he described flooring as being a part of who he is – it's in his blood. With installa on teams serving across mul ple states, the Owens opened their showroom in Fredericksburg two years ago, and then were inspired to open a local selec on center last year. They wanted to move beyond performing quali- ty installa ons to also selling quality products. NK Floors is a family business, and several of the Owens' nine children work in the company as well. Karie remarked, "It gives us all a common goal and purpose." She went on to say that the en re team is also considered as family. The Owens have served as missionaries overseas, no ng that those experi- ences posi vely impacted the way they approach their business. It influenced how they strive to look at people's individual needs and ensure that customers' voices are heard. Nathan said, "Each individual customer – their needs and their personality – is different. If you just cookie-cut everybody, you're not going to connect with them." The Owens family combines craftsmanship, education, and community values to guide homeowners with confidence. sponsored material Built to Last, Grounded in Service: How NK Floors Helps Families Create Beautiful, Durable Homes
