Since its founding in 1979, FCS has provided multiple generations of Fredericksburg-area students with an education rooted in a biblical worldview and aims to partner with families to develop every child's potential through academics, spiritual development, leadership and service. The school serves students throughout the Greater Fredericksburg region, from Spotsylvania, Stafford and the city of Fredericksburg to Caroline, King George and Culpeper counties. All grades are located on a single Spotsylvania campus, complete with facilities for the school's 31 teams competing in 13 sports, as well as venues for drama, band, orchestra and other fine-arts offerings. What defines the FCS experience? Here are a few things FCS does that make both the school and its students stand out. PREPARING CHRISTIAN LEADERS FOR LIFE It's not just a tagline—every facet of FCS is designed to grow not only students' academic abilities, but also the life skills that will help them to navigate the many decisions they'll face after high school. "We want them to have skills that are going to carry them on what- ever path it is that God has for them," said Admissions Director Krissy Donahoe. Regardless of what that path is, FCS wants to equip students with the skills and values they'll need to be leaders, to be productive members of society, and to be able to understand and use their God-given gifts to make the world a better place.
