Through her years of experi- ence, she's helped everyone from newborns and children to expectant moms and grandpar- ents. "I've always had a passion to help others experience greater health and wellness through natural means," says Stewart, the clinic direc- tor for offices in Fredericksburg and Locust Grove. "I enjoy teaching people how to improve their lives through changes in lifestyle habits. Chiropractic fit the bill perfectly." Chiropractic care is a non-invasive and drug-free method of boosting the body's natural ability to heal itself. This is accomplished by remov- ing spinal nerve interference and the limitations that may accompany it, such as pain and limited joint movement. The following are some of the benefits of chiropractic care: • Better sleep • Decreased pain • Easier digestion • Enhanced nervous system function • Increased mobility • Reduced inflammation • Improvement in ability to perform daily activities With the non-surgical procedure of spinal decompression, patients don't have to live with debilitating pain. Spinal decompression is used for lower back pain, sciatica, pinched nerves, symptoms related to damaged or degenerative discs, syndromes of the lumbar and cervical spine. Stewart follows the core values of traditional chiropractic and uses nonrotational techniques. For her clients, that means she doesn't twist and torque the spine. With a technologically advanced assessment of each client and a partnership with other members in the practice, people receive effective spinal correction. Stewart earned her Doctor of Chiropractic Cum Laude degree in 1998, choosing Sherman College of Chiropractic in South Carolina because of its emphasis on the core values of traditional chiropractic. Besides providing relief from pain for her clients, she and her staff are avid supporters of the community, including participating in Wounded Warrior Project fundraisers, annual school supply and winter coat drives and local churches' food pantry programs.
