PLAN A SPA DAY
What mother doesn't want to
be pampered on Mother's Day?
Some local spas are offer-
ing specials for the holiday,
including Le Petite Spa
Fredericksburg.
"Moms give so much of them-
selves and often forego their
own self-care, rest and relax-
ation," says owner Natasha
Henderson. "A spa day is the
perfect way for them to reset
and recharge themselves. It makes the perfect gift from
someone that appreciates all that they do."
SPEND TIME OUTSIDE
Head outdoors for the holiday and take mom for a stroll down-
town or to bike or hike the trails along The Canal Path. You can
also pack a picnic lunch and visit Loriella Park, which also has disc
golf and basketball and tennis courts for active families.
READ A BOOK
If Mom wants to spend some quiet time
alone with a good book, find the perfect
spot on the grounds of historic Kenmore.
Choose from one of the season's new
titles, including "The Little French
Bridal Shop" by Jennifer Dupee, "Good
Company" by Cynthia D'Aprix Sweeney or
"Of Women and Salt" by Gabriela Garcia.

ENJOY A
GOOD MEAL
Make sure mom
skips cooking and
cleaning the dishes
and take her out
for a bite to eat. Try
Mason-Dixon Café
for brunch. The café
serves up breakfast
fare all-day, includ-
ing omelettes, pancakes, French toast, breakfast sandwiches and
chicken and waffles. Mason-Dixon Café also has an extensive
wine and beer list, as well as specialty drinks and cocktails such as
Bloody Marys, mimosas and coffee cocktails.
