Teachers, thank you for your superhuman efforts to ensure Fredericksburg Academy Falcons have contin- ued to grow in mind, body, and spirit. In the spring of 1996, as the interim Head of School or a very young Fredericksburg Academy, I was looking to hire an athletic director. Among several candidates, one stood out. She was an All-American field hockey player with excellent coaching credentials; she was clearly well-educated, well-spoken, and intelligent; and she had a calm, positive manner that impressed all who met her. Hiring Karen Moschetto was a no-brainer! Now (egad!) 24 years later, FA has benefitted immeasurably from the work of this talented woman in many phases of its life and growth. She continues to lead with integrity, to give of herself in order to bring out the best in others, and to work tire- lessly toward high standards for FA.
