22 Fredericksburg Parent and Family • Winter 2020 family favorites WRITTEN BY LENORA KRUK-MULLANAPHY Weecycled Wardrobe This is a monthly column featuring winners and nominees of the 2020 FredParent Family Favorite contest. After frequent trips to a consignment sale in another part of the state, two long-time friends thought it would be ideal to have one in their own community. Weeks later, they created Weecycled Wardrobe—comprised of 25 friends and consignors--in a rented space in Central Park. Today, Weecycled Wardrobe has two loca- tions (Fredericksburg and North Stafford) and more than 1,000 consignors. Weecycled Wardrobe is a one-stop shopping experience for every- thing needed for kids through teens. For those on a budget or wanting a really good deal, you'll save of up to 80 percent off retail prices on any of its 70,000 items. Want to become a consignor? Visit the website. There is a list of what to bring (and not to bring) for consignment with instructions on how to proceed. Those people who want to consign but have limited time will find the Busy Mom Service a welcome feature. This service is geared for a minimum of 50 items or $350 worth of merchandise. Weecycled Wardrobe has a selection of items ranging from clothing and shoes (from infant to teen sizes), baby gear, toys, games, puzzles, craft items and sporting goods to books, movies, game systems, furni- ture, home décor, bedding (for kids to teens) and accessories (purses, hats and gloves). For individuals wanting to shop early, the Weecycled Crew allows you to work for the shop to earn the first opportunity to shop at new mer- chandise. The Crew has three-hour shifts in order to come to a special pre-sale before the general public. To shop even earlier, there are mul- tiple shifts available for a six-hour and nine-hour crew member. The shifts include the positions of bagger, cashier, floor helper and more. It's a great way to get some exercise and a chance to socialize with other moms. Weecycled Wardrobe also offers the opportunity to sell and shop online. For more information about consigning, volunteering and shopping (at the stores and online), visit weecycledwardrobe.com.
