Girl Smarts, a series of workshops designed to motivate, elevate and enhance the inner strength and confidence of our 4th and 5th grade girls, is coming to Fredericksburg Library for three days of workshops August 6, 7, and 8. The workshops will run from 9-1:30 and will cover topics like Body Language, Bullying, Values Identification, Healthy Relationships and Organizing for Middle School.
Girl Smarts, a program being presented at the 7th Annual National Convention on Girl Bullying and Relational Aggression this month at Las Vegas, is currently in place at seven public schools in Stafford County. Since 2009 the program has supported the growth of close to 800 young ladies, strengthening them as they face their middle school years. You can read about the program as well as seeing testimonials at girlsmarts.net.
Space is limited and a tuition of $75 covers all three days of workshops, supplies, and snacks. Transportation is a parent/guardian responsibility as is a bag lunch for each day of the workshops. If you'd like more information visit the Girl Smarts website at girlsmarts.net or call the facilitator Dianna Flett at 540-809-7956. You can also contact Dianna at firstname.lastname@example.org to register.
