Two Under Two In A Condo. Yep, It's Happening.

Uh, can you guys BELIEVE that it's almost March?! What the whaaa? I'm having a baby, in April. APRIL. That's like, the month after this coming one. Not that I'm panicking, but I was thinking that now may be a good time to, you know, figure out where this wee little bundle of love is going to sleep and stuff. It turns out that our mortgage modification is taking much longer than anticipated (totally not surprised), so we will be living here... in the condo, when Maddox is born.

To add to that factoid, I had an OBGYN appointment today and found out that the baby is very, very low in my pelvis. Like, surprised the doctor kind of low. This is all new for me. Archer, even when he was head down, was never low. I never felt pressure, or pelvic pain, or that bowling-ball-on-your-bladder kind of feeling. He was always up in my ribcage. So on top of a looming calender, I have an ever present presence in my pelvis reminding me that winter is coming the baby will be here sooner rather than later.

Thankfully, the 40 Bags In 40 Days Challenge I have been doing (more on that here), has freed up a lot of space. Two kids, two adults, a cat, and a moose-dog IS doable in a condo. You just gotta get creative. We plan on using a co-sleeper for the first three months and turing the top of my dresser into a diaper station. If we are still living here by the time Maddox is four months old, we will probably turn our walk in closet into a mini nursery. We actually plan on having the boys share a room (bunk-beds!!) but Archer didn't sleep through the night until he was 12 months old. I don't want Maddox waking up the toddler. Ho, ho NO. So they will probably be in separate rooms until they're, I don't know, two and four.

Have any of you turned a closet into a nursery? Have any tips for making small spaces work? I feel like my love for Ikea is only going to grow stronger over this next year. Mmmmm, Swedish design....
