Fredericksburg Va Main Street announces
#LOVEFXBG PHOTO CAMPAIN AND CONTEST
Marketing campaign highlighting the thousands of things
that make Downtown Fredericksburg special and unique.
Fredericksburg, VA – The #LOVEFXBG campaign launched last February to coincide with Valentine’s Day. The hashtag was hugely successful across all Fredericksburg VA Main Street social media platforms with nearly 6,000 uses on Instagram alone. Fredericksburg VA Main Street is re-launching the #LOVEFXBG campaign to once again highlight all of the wonderful things about historic downtown and encourage visitors, shoppers, residents, business owners and others to share what inspires them about downtown – what they LOVE most!
“It’s easy to find something unique and special about downtown,” said Ann Glave, Executive Director of the Fredericksburg VA Main Street. “We have great food, cool outdoor activities, specialty shops, and fascinating history, an endless supply of photo opportunities. The challenge is not finding what you love but narrowing it down to what you love MOST!”
The #LOVEFXBG campaign has several fun aspects to it including the special social media hashtag of the title, specialty cards to highlight visitors and resident’s favorite things in Fredericksburg, and new this year, a social media contest that runs from February 9th through March 9th. Specialty cards, featuring the work of local artist Gabriel Pons, can be picked up at the Downtown Fredericksburg Visitors Center or at one of your favorite Downtown businesses.
The centerpiece of this effort is the hashtag #LOVEFXBG to be used on all social media outlets. Visitors and residents can use the hashtag to talk about their favorite places, activities and things they love most about Fredericksburg. Visitors and residents can post their photo or video to their social media pages, comment about what they love about Fredericksburg, and use #LOVEFXBG. Fredericksburg VA Main Street will review the posts and choose four winners who will receive a $25 Downtown Fredericksburg gift card.
