Tornado Tiffany

November 3, 2015

Once October hits, the world braces for “Tornado Tiffany” to blow into town.  This is the time of year that I literally brace myself for the season.  From October – December its late nights, early mornings, too much coffee and not enough sleep, as I am elbow deep in our Winter/Spring catalog, annual budgets, Christmas Parade, Volunteer Banquet, all on top of all the day to day obligations I have.    So please excuse me if I look a little zombie-ish when you see me around town and please don’t judge the 20lb bags under my eyes; it’s just one my busy seasons.

With that said, I am going to just start rambling off all the things that are going on around here so that you can stay in the loop too!

First Night Fredericksburg – As you’ve probably heard by now the City has decided to take the year off.  The footprint for the event was going to shrink even more with construction downtown and we just did not feel like we could give you all what you are accustomed to.  We’ll take a year off, re-group, and re-energize the event for next year.

Fredericksburg Christmas Parade – Oh boy we’re like little elves in Santa’s workshop plugging away to bring you another fine edition of the Fredericksburg Huber Motor Cars Christmas Parade (yes that’s a new name, Rosner split into two divisions, and the Huber side wanted to still keep the parade) that was voted the #1 Best Community event by the Free Lance-Star 2015 Readers' Choice Awards!  This year’s theme is “Christmas Pastimes” so I think we are about so see some great imagination come to life with our participants.  It will be held Saturday, December 5 at 5:30pm downtown.  Please visit www.fredericksburgchristmasparade.comto stay in the current.  It’s constantly being updated so keep your eyes peeled.
